But we can tell you that we’ve been picking up the phone for people like you for nearly 40 years. From professional service business to tech companies to niche businesses you didn’t know existed.

Our Approach

We believe that normal people can do extraordinary things. That there’s a true business leader in you waiting to emerge. And that you don’t have to be the next Steve Jobs. You just have to be you. That’s hard enough. We don’t have all the answers for how to get there. But what we’re great at—what makes EMyth different—is we know how to ask the right questions. With a ton of heart, but without pulling punches, because we know that kind of help is the kind that works.

Our People

If you walked around our offices, you’d see a group of people all with completely different skills and personalities, all asking the same questions. “How can we do it better?” Asking their manager “How can I do it better?” “How can we make our clients’ experience more personal?” “What’s really in the way of reaching this goal we have over here?” All of them leading in their own way, making EMyth better than it was yesterday. We laugh a lot. We celebrate our victories. We’re in pain when one client has one bad experience. You know, just like you.

Ilene Frahm

Since joining EMyth in 1982 as an entry-level salesperson, I’ve been committed to developing The EMyth Way. This integration of systems and people in a business, what we call “the balance between structure and substance”, is the key to creating the freedom most small business owners seek but rarely find. Systems leverage people to produce exceptional results and people become joyfully engaged when they’re encouraged to bring the best of themselves to making those systems work. In 1999, this perspective made it possible for me to retire as EMyth’s President at 46 years old. While I was involved in day-to-day operations, I led the company through periods of enormous growth and worked with Michael Gerber—EMyth’s founder and co-owner—as his collaborator, editor, and publishing agent on several of his best-selling books, including The E-Myth Revisited. In the years since, I’ve served as EMyth’s Board Chair, trained and mentored our staff, and written about two of my favorite subjects: sales process development and women in leadership.

Our commitment is to always be working on ourselves, so that we’re never teaching something we haven’t first embodied.
